Training stakes and weapon proficiency

Train online or offline without confusing skill XP with character XP.

2 min read · Reviewed October 10, 2026

Four reusable stakes stand in Twin City at (475,387), (475,369), (450,368) and (450,389). A stake resets when defeated, allowing continuous training. Use the weapon and attack skill you actually want to improve.

What progresses

Eligible attacks train weapon proficiency and the skill used. Stakes do not award character experience. The four accelerated skills are Fast Blade, Scent Sword, Twofold Blades and Radiant Palm: at most ten eligible one-second awards per level, or 40 eligible awards across four levels under uninterrupted conditions.

Character-level requirements still apply. Multi-target attacks cannot bypass the shared one-second award timer. Monster hits also train eligible weapon skills, so you can combine ordinary hunting with progression.

Choose your training location

Twin City keeps the normal resource costs. Boxer Training Ground waives stamina and mana costs and can be more convenient for repeated skill use. Neither place makes an unsupported skill train automatically.

Offline stake training

  1. Start auto-attacking one of the four Twin City stakes.
  2. Land a hit, then type /offline (or press Offline TG in the Escape menu) within five seconds while alive and still attacking it.
  3. The client closes and the server continues that attack with its normal costs. Reconnect to take control again.

Training ends if you reconnect, die, lose the target or stop attacking. It does not refill mana or stamina. Planned maintenance can restore eligible offline stake training when its saved target and spell remain valid; downtime grants no training progress. An uncheckpointed crash cannot restore it. Away from a stake, /offline stops attacks instead.
