PK points, detained equipment and jail
Understand red and black names before risking valuable equipment.
Ordinary player kills award 10 PK points; personal, guild and clan enemy kills award 5. Existing criminal/flashing-victim, event and free-PK-map exceptions still apply. Do not assume a custom name color changes your actual PK status.
Name thresholds
| PK points | State | Qualifying player-kill death |
|---|---|---|
| Below 50 | Normal | Normal death rules |
| 50 to 99 | Red | One eligible equipped item may be detained |
| 100 or more | Black | Up to two eligible equipped items detained; sent to jail |
Detention is limited to eligible worn items. Bottles, garments, steeds, mounts and weapon accessories retain their exemptions. Map and Jiang-mode exceptions also apply. The same item cannot be selected twice.
Redeem detained equipment
The normal seven-day redemption/claim process remains. A +12 item costs 4,000 CPs without a Soul phase, or 8,000 CPs with any Soul phase, including temporary Souls. Those are total prices, including its quality, sockets and refinery. Lower enhancements use their existing calculation; check the actual quote.
PK Amulet
Penitence Amulet (PK Amulet) costs 100 CPs in the Shopping Mall. It removes 30 PK points. The current use rule requires more than 30 PK points, and it cannot be used in jail.
Jail and name colors
The free jail exit requires fewer than 100 PK points. The paid exit costs 20,000 CPs. VIP 6 cosmetic name colors never hide red, black or flashing-blue PK states, so other players can still see criminal status.
