Automatic skills and training

How to unlock missing skills, satisfy prerequisites and train them efficiently.

2 min read · Reviewed October 10, 2026

Supported class skills are granted automatically on login, level gains, promotions, rebirth and qualifying prerequisite training. Grants are free and start at level 0. They do not automatically master the skill or reset a skill you already trained.

If a skill is missing

  1. Check your character level and current promotion, not just your class family.
  2. Check prerequisites. Fire needs Thunder level 4; Tornado needs Fire level 3 as well as the required character level and Fire promotion. Its accepted-cast cooldown is 650 ms at every skill level.
  3. For pure or rebirth skills, check all recorded lives. Poisonous Star has a Ninja-history requirement; leveling alone is not enough.
  4. Reconnect through the current launcher if a skill should have been granted. Include the skill, class, level and rebirth path when asking Support.

Train skills and proficiency separately

Fast Blade, Scent Sword, Twofold Blades and Radiant Palm need at most ten eligible one-second training awards per level. The four levels need up to 40 eligible awards, roughly 40 seconds of uninterrupted eligible hits. Misses, resource costs, level gates and interruptions can make the actual time longer.

These awards work on training targets and successful eligible monster hits. Multiple targets and switching between monsters and stakes share the same timer. Eligible skills receive at least one tenth of their current level's required XP per successful award, while faster existing gains remain. Phoenix, Boom, Earthquake, Celestial, Penetration, Tornado and Triple Attack retain their own progression. Weapon proficiency and character XP are separate.

Where to train

Use Twin City stakes or the Boxer Training Ground. Training Ground waives the normal stamina and mana costs; Twin City does not. Only skills used by your attacks gain experience. Skill Soul appearances do not replace or accelerate skill mastery.
