Upgrade equipment level
Meteor versus DragonBall thresholds, repair requirements and partial-payment risk.
Equipment level, quality, +enhancement, sockets and blessing are separate properties. This guide covers moving an item to its next equipment level. Repair it fully before attempting an upgrade.
Which material is required?
The requirement uses the item's current level, not the level of the result.
| Equipment family | Use DragonBalls from current level |
|---|---|
| Bag | 112 |
| Bracelet | 115 |
| Non-bow weapon | 115 |
| Ring | 116 |
| Heavy ring | 117 |
| Bow | 120 |
| Necklace and boots | 120 |
| Headgear, armor, shield and other upgradeable equipment | 120 |
A step from below a threshold into the threshold still uses the lower-tier material. DragonBall level steps consume one DragonBall. The level-120 cutoff also applies when trying Meteor Scrolls or Meteor Tears.
Forge versus Market
The Market upgrade uses the full quoted Meteor amount for a guaranteed step. The forge accepts partial Meteor payments with a proportional success chance. A failed partial roll spends those materials and halves current durability, so repair before trying again.
A selected Meteor Scroll counts as ten Meteors. The Market can split scrolls and return correctly bound change when inventory space permits. Unbound equipment requires unbound materials.
Why a worn item can be rejected
The next catalog tier must exist. Worn equipment must remain wearable: character level, class promotion and attributes are checked for the result. Unequip an item to upgrade it in your bag for another character or a future level.
A valid level upgrade preserves quality, +enhancement, composition progress, sockets, blessing and binding. An invalid request consumes nothing. Check the quote instead of assuming an old retail Meteor price curve applies to AsuraCo.
