Visibility, lighting and sound
Local preferences that make a crowded scene easier to use.
These controls change your view or client preferences. They do not alter other players' visibility settings, remove combat rules or change character ownership.
Show Players
The player filter offers All, Enemy, Ally and Team. Filtered players can be hidden completely or shown as names only. Names-only labels are not clickable actors: clicking them passes through to the game. Self, monsters and NPCs keep their normal handling.
Each login starts with All and Hide completely. Membership name colors can appear on labels, but PK colors take priority. Hiding a character does not make it harmless.
Personal lighting
/night or /night on darkens your local map. /day or /night off restores normal lighting. The preference survives teleports during that session and resets on reconnect. Event lighting can temporarily override it.
Your own overhead names
/hidemyname toggles your own character, guild and clan labels locally. Add on to hide or off to restore. Other players still see their normal view of you; the preference resets when entering or leaving the world.
Audio
Music and effects sliders apply and save as you move them. The music enabled checkbox also saves immediately. Cancelling the options dialog does not undo these audio preferences. Login-window audio is separate from the character's in-game audio settings.
