AsuraCo Alpha - September 16 Updates

AlphaTrainingTwin CityLauncher

Today's updates improve training, hunting, travel, shops, the interface and launcher startup.

Training and proficiency

  • Weapon proficiency now progresses twice as fast below level 12.
  • Restored weapon proficiency gains from monster combat, alongside Twin City stake training.
  • Rebalanced proficiency from level 12 onward with progressively larger XP divisors:
ProgressionXP divisor
12 → 135,000
13 → 145,714
14 → 156,429
15 → 167,143
16 → 177,857
17 → 188,571
18 → 199,286
19 → 2010,000
  • Fixed Violet Gems granting no proficiency bonus. Normal, Refined and Super now add 30%, 50% and 100%, respectively, on monsters and stakes. Multiple gems add their bonuses together.
  • Small proficiency gains retain fractional progress instead of being lost to rounding.
  • Prevented large hits and rebirth recovery from skipping proficiency levels. Matching weapons in both hands receive one award per weapon type per attack.
  • Weapon skills require manual training on the Twin City stakes; CP shortcuts for weapon skills and proficiency are disabled. Existing learned levels are retained.
  • Enabled /offline-stake: start attacking a Twin City stake, then enter the command to continue training after closing the game. Normal attack speed, mana/stamina costs and training requirements still apply. It grants proficiency and eligible skill XP, not character XP. Offline training ends on reconnect or server restart and shares the three-character-per-IP offline limit.

Hunting and Twin City

  • Set the standard normal-monster respawn timer to 10 seconds. Bosses and special respawn overrides retain their own rules.
  • Removed ArtisanWind and MonsterGeneral from Twin City.

Travel and shops

  • Fixed the Sub-Class window's Join button to teleport eligible players beside SubClassManager in the Promotion building. Enrollment remains a separate NPC action with its usual requirements.
  • Added the PromotionItems seller in the Promotion building at (51, 49), replacing the old Promotion NPC at that position.
  • The seller offers EuxeniteOre, Emerald, Meteor, MoonBox, CelestialStone, MeteorTear, Bombs, YinYangFruit, LuckyAmulets, PerformerCard and Saddles, including material bundles. Purchases display prices and require confirmation.
  • Restored the missing PerformerCard item and its icons.
  • All ten pharmacist shops now sell the five standard city Gate scrolls: Twin City, Desert City, Ape City, Phoenix Castle and Bird Island.

Interface and launcher

  • Repaired displaced controls and text in several windows, including Options, guild/clan panels, tournament panels and other dialogs.
  • Repositioned Arena navigation within the visible footer and removed the Cross-Server CTF button.
  • Corrected the XP-bar hover display position, including when relaunching at the same resolution.
  • Fixed oversized update manifests preventing older launchers from reading updates.
  • Fixed launcher music turning itself back on after restart. After updating, switch music off once to save your preference.
  • Improved repeat launcher startup by reusing recent checks of unchanged artwork and audio files, reducing the wait for Enter. Initial verification, periodic refreshes and Repair still perform full asset checks.

Gem audit - known issues, not fixes

Today's audit also found issues that remain unresolved:

  • Normal and Refined Rainbow Gems incorrectly grant magic attack in addition to their intended character-XP bonus.
  • Fury and Moon Gem bonuses are not implemented.
  • Kylin Gems provide no benefit while equipment durability loss is disabled.
  • Tortoise Gem reduction applies in PvP but is not applied to incoming monster damage.

Close the game and restart the launcher to receive client 3.22.14 and launcher 3.0.10.

Phoenix Gem PvP fix

Phoenix Gems now add their intended magic damage bonus in PvP: 5% for Normal, 10% for Refined, and 15% for Super. Multiple gems add their bonuses together. With 1,000 base magic damage, one Super Phoenix now gives 1,150 instead of 150, before other combat modifiers. This fix is live; the other listed gem issues remain unresolved.
